one more suggestion
Few browsers and few operating systems will not be usefull to use the smileys,
Create a page with all the smileys and the shortcut code behind the smiley.
So gradually all will get habituated .
A guy just took a little girl’s ice cream.
– guy – girl
– guy
– girl
– superman
– guys face

Absolutely no security issue bro. Please be assured. The message you see is a default msg that will pop up everytime you install a userscript, it is to beware user of any harm a malicious script can make. There is nothing to worry here.

Yes bro we do have mentioned that it won’t work on all browsers. This is just an optional script.
I did not however get your suggestion completely. What will people get habitual to?
There is no short codes to insert a smiley, it is the same HTML code that one use to insert an image. Hence the need to make a script so that users don’t have to copy-paste the entire thing and it gets done with a simple click.
So I personally feel even if we create a page with list of smileys and their url/codes it will be equally tiring for a person to go to that thread, copy the code, return to the thread where he wants to post and paste it. Please correct me if I got it wrong.
Thank a lot however for your concern and the suggestion

Brother Apple keeps on remotely disabling third party extensions (which is really sick). This might be a reason you are not able to get it done on Safari.
Anyhow I am discussing two ways which you can try and see if the script works.
This has already been mentioned, give it a try afresh. I’m explaining in detail.
1. Download SIMBL and install it.
2. Download the SIMBL extension named GreaseKit. Do not install.
3. Make sure Safari is not running. Exit the browser if running.
4. Now install GreaseKit. To install, just drag the GreaseKit.bundle file to ~/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins. If you don’t see such a folder, first create it and then drop GreaseKit.bundle into it.
5. Start Safari, you will now see a GreaseKit entry in the Safari menu bar
6. Go to the Script Page and install it just like you do on firefox by clicking the green ‘install’ button on the top right and accepting the confirmation. The GreaseKit menu will now include the installed script.
Workaround: If on clicking the install button, only the source of script is shown and it doesn’t install try the following:
- Save it (Command+S) as Page Source and rename it to the original name.
- Next, copy it in inside the folder ~/Library/Application Support/GreaseKit
- Go back to GreaseKit menu and click ‘Reload all user scripts’.
This might work.
1. Download NinjaKit and install it.
2. Open the Script Page and install it the default way.
[NinjaKit is a self sufficient extension that lets you install GreaseMonkey scripts on Safari and Chrome and is both PC & Mac compatible.
View Homepage (its in Chinese, use Google translate)]
But like I said, since Apple keeps blocking such extensions with every update, I would’t be surprised if both of them don’t work.
In that case trash Safari and switch to a different browser
got it thanks dm bro +3 karma from my side
