I Don’t see any truth in the OP Link shared. (at least when I look at numbers)
Facts. 1. UP as a state has tested most (3.8 Cr till date), in comparison Maharashtra has tested 2.4Cr till date
2. Yesterday UP tested 2.2L ..currently highest per day testing is MH with around 2.3-2.7L

Labs may have backlog that’s why they are not collecting samples, same case is in Mumbai where few labs have 4-5 days of Backlogs and they are refusing new test (Home collection is totally stopped)

They are not labelled blind for nothing. They just refuse to acknowledge any wrongdoing of the govt, even though the wrongdoings galore for this govt, that too, clear cut wrongdoings. They either try to justify it as masterstroke or start comparing with some other sh*t happened somewhere eons ago by someone else.

how so many cases are getting reported then? govt labs?
Anyone has idea how to get COVID test done.
My friend met one of his friend whose report(and his mother’s report) came positive.
Although he has no symptoms (& has isolated himself), still he wants to get COVID test done.
He’s in Noida, not able to book test anywhere. A few private labs Metropolis charging very high 4500

Its not necessary government intentionally asking to stop testing in UP.
There can be many reasons pvt labs not doing testing:
1. Huge backlog of cases
2. Severe cases getting stuck because of new samples coming in.
3. Recently RT PCR also not showing positive for patient whose xray/CT is showing positive.
This is not the time to blame or politicize the scene.
What is happening in Bengal is definitely shameful, doctors themselves saying it not right. Dr Guleria(AIIMS) also said about this that Elections/Religious gatherings should be avoided and if necessary strict protocols be followed. Also, situation in Lucknow/Bhopal also very serious; While Delhi/Mumbai are known to all since long.

Simple Way of dealing issues
Most of the RT PCR test are failing now with the new mutated virus, test result is negative and patient has seviour new symptoms.
