Hello dimers,

My grandpa has some old UTI and SBI mutual fund papers, and some IFCI/SBI stock papers issued back in 1993. How do I get them redeemed to his name?

He also has a demat account with Zerodha. Just confused with the info available online

Same happened with me

Bro it's very time taking (min 12months) and lengthy process, a normal person don't even understand the process, so In my opinion you should talk with companies, there are many for this problem, but they charged very high amount

So in my case I am not even start the process yet, because current share's value is around 50000 and I talked with two companies they charged very high, first one charge me in advance around 10000 and second charge me around 10% of value and 7000 in advance

The main problem is advance money and time is very high here, so

So what's the end resolution? Did you do it yourself or hired someone else?

go to respective mutual fund house, UTI mf may be already online format. that is how i got to know and got around 1 lakh from redeeming online. had to update account number, mobile email as they were old.
check cam statement using your grandfathers Pan to check if it is already there or not.
for stocks you have to get hold of investor contact and mail them original  share paper to get it in demat, some banks also does it like axis .
