Is reservation killing genuine efforts.....!?

I am not against the reservation but I have problems with eligibility parameters. It should be based on financial conditions instead of cast or religion

this is the biggest problem in our country.
becoz of reservation actual talent is going abroad for opportunities.
that is why private sector is progressing as compared to govt sector because private sector dont have reservations.

reservation serves its purpose in some ways but this kind of cutoff and selection criteria makes it questionable and some reform is long due

Atleast for teaching jobs there should be no reservation or candidate should have minimum 70-75% marks or percentile in exam, I studied in government school where one of our teacher was benefitted based on caste+Hearing impairment but we suffered alot because he had zero understanding of subject…

Don’t they have any minimum eligibility criteria. Like in neet Maharashtra we need minimum 50% and reserved candidate need 40%.
I wonder wasn’t there any other candidates from same category? that percentile is negative still getting eligible.🥺

Reservation khatam khatne ka sabse asan tareeka. Apni behan ki shadi sc obc st se karwao aur khud bhi unki sisters se shadi karo. Bs fir samaj me barabari a jayegi.

Reservation is not ending even in next 50 yrs. No one will dare to remove reservation in fear of losing vote bank. Riot like condition will start

Why make reservations at all?

Give financial help to poor students who crack the exams.
Its like some are not as smart as others.

Its not going awat because laws are made by politicians and they need votes of these people.

Hardly anyone is taking efforts genuinely in India.

So, If you are taking that extra effort which others are not, no one can stop you.

Here is the thing. This is from my observation. Reservation has benefited a lot of people and reshaped their lives. But, once those people are out of their own personal hell created by themselves n society, their kids continue to exploit that reservation quota, which is atrocious. Ex: Tina Dabi I see, sc/st/obc category people are exploited by high ranking officials belonging from the same category. This should not continue for long.
India needs competent people. Most people from reserved categories are incompetent.

First of all competent people should be rewarded. Once a person from reserved category gets the job, it should be ensured that his/her children won’t be able to apply in that category anymore. It’s an easy fix, govt can easily implement that. And well off reserved candidates should compete in unreserved category.

I still remember, for my college addmission I was in last list of admission rounds with 76% and my batchmate got addmission with 57% or something (due to Gujarati quota)….. Only I know how I felt when I came to know this…..

First of all how can you say that non deserving candidates are getting jobs in name of reservation.??

Me and my friend studies in same coaching and with almost same financial conditions, he would get the same brand/college that im getting at 30k rank in jee mains for 9 lakh ranks as per 2019 , he is ST. for the very reason and many others , my first thing to do after getting decent job is to migrate a better nation where the majority is not being supressed and always putted down

LOL. The so-called ‘Savarna Merit’ is the biggest lie propagated by Savarnas since Independence. I mean, think about it, Savarnas have snatched the right for education for thousands of years, didn’t allow Dalits and Bahujans to learn, YET there are barely any innovations, inventions. While Arabs were inventing Algebra, Algorithms, while west was inventing so many things in Science, the Savarnas were doing what? Oppressing.

Coming to the post Independence, even then what have they achieved? Laughably few. So, the so-called UC Merit is nothing but a huge lie to remove reservations.

Mediocrity can’t lift up a nation. Attitude should not be like lower the standard so that they can participate. It’s a war like situation. Other nations won’t show any mercy. Enemy will not come close n show the chest n ask you to shoot there. Right attitude should be like lift them up so that they can pass the standard on their own merit. Unfortunately people don’t do it. All kids of SC/ST people, who go into big jobs, will continue to exploit the system.
This is why military does not have any reservation system. They don’t lower their standards. I suggest India should employ the same strategy everywhere. Obviously people ll cry n moan. But we have given enough oppertunity since the independence. It’s right time to make everything equal.
If root can’t be eliminated then at least treat the symptoms.
Some places can live with reservation e.g. bank jobs, govt group b-c-d jobs etc. Engineering, Medicine etc should be strictly off limit. Yes, economically backward candidates should be given reservation benefits. Once one get through the system, one’s kids should not get reservation benefits.
