As tax on petrol and diesel is calculated on the basis of percentage ..not flat value ..
So at 75rs tax of govt comes 28% …then 28% of 75 is 21rs, but now if price increases to 100 then tax comes is
100*28%= 28rs …so straight gain of 7rs on tax ….so more the prices of crude increases in international markets
more is tax collection of govts ………so enjoy the bumper rally…………

Obviously Politicians are the biggest beneficiaries.
Bhakts be like – Desh mera h, 200 rupya litre petrol ka dunga, siachin me jawan ladh rahe hai
When the global prices fell in covid ,they increased the percentage saying it will be balaanced as the end customer will get petrol at same price. Now they are not reducing the additional tax added.
When this govt had come in 2014, and fuel prices started dropping significantly, they had given the same logic that time, that they will balance the fluctuations by increasing taxes. Every time, every minister of theirs had given the same excuse. But while they have been quick to increase the taxes so much, they dont decrease the tax when international price rises. Just pass it on the people. I am amazed how this country of a billion and half people have been putting up with this hypocrisy.
Similarly, Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan
Desh ko fayda ho rha hai prices badhne se .jinko kam paise mein petrol diesel chahiye wo Nepal ya Sri Lanka chale jayein
