Federal CC application: Does it requires you to be on communication address during vkyc

I applied for federal CC today and signet card with a considerable limit was nearly approved and as I was going to initiate vkyc a federal CC agent called out of nowhere and asked me if I am on same location as given communication address and if not the vkyc will be declined
I am about 100 km away from communication address currently and I could only reach my address after 5days. The agent told I can complete vkyc after 5 days It would not be an issue.
I am a little confused as usually we need to complete vkyc within 72 hours and message from federal Bank also says so
As anyone had any issues like this ? I am bit sceptical on the agent because he called just before and stopped me, and might ask me to apply through agent if current application gets cancelled due to not completing vkyc

Almost all vkyc want you to share your live location.
Yes but I have always completed vkyc for credit cards and bank accounts for other banks from other locations.
Only once I was asked for why I was in different location during vkyc of amazon pay ICICI and when I could clarify my reasons they approved the vkyc.
I had completed VKYC from office address, and not from home or communication address. Just tell them that you are at different place right now. Pincode and location And other already filled details hi puchhte hain.

they never asked for location during Vkyc, but i was in same location as kyc
reschedule it, not an issue
