Now make UPI payments through your Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card

Axis Bank RuPay Credit Cards can now be linked to your UPI ID. This seamless, safe and secure digital payment method allows customers to make credit card transactions with utmost ease and provides an increased opportunity to use their Credit Cards with existing benefits.

• Download the UPI Third Party Application (eg. BHIM, PayTm and Mobikwik) from the Play Store/App Store
• Verify the Mobile Number on the UPI App and complete registration
• Post successful registration, select the option “Add Credit Card/ Link Credit Card”
• Select Credit Card Issuer Bank (Axis Bank)
• Select your Axis Bank Credit Card to be linked > Confirm
• Proceed to generate UPI PIN (if not already done)

• Select Generate PIN option > Select Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card
• Enter Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card Details:
• Last 6 digits
• Expiry Date
• OTP will be triggered to the customers registered mobile number
• Enter OTP and Set PIN of your choice

• Scan Merchant QR Code or enter Merchant UPI ID
• Enter Amount or pay auto-fetched amount
• Select Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card Account
• Enter UPI PIN > Confirm
• Transaction status can be seen at Transaction History

1. Are there any mandatory requirements prior to linking Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card on UPI App?

No, once you receive Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card, you can link it directly with UPI Application by entering last 6-digits of credit card and expiry date.

2. On which Application can I link my RuPay Credit Card with UPI?

Currently, on BHIM, Mobikwik and Paytm app customer can link their RuPay Credit Card on UPI. Other apps are enhancing their tech platforms to enable linking of credit card on UPI.

3. Can I authenticate UPI transactions using Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card Pin?

No. You will have to set a separate UPI Pin to authenticate payment transactions using Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card via UPI App..

4. Will I be able to register on UPI, if my mobile number on UPI is not linked with Axis Bank RuPay credit card?

No, the UPI app will not allow the customer to register.

5. Can I change my UPI Pin?

Yes, you can change UPI pin of your Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card account on the UPI App.

6. I forgot my UPI Pin. How can I regenerate?

Yes. Select the Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card account for which UPI pin to be reset and select ‘Forgot UPI Pin’ option. Follow the Steps.

7. If I made multiple incorrect UPI PIN attempts using Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card, will my transactions get blocked?

The existing functionality of UPI will be followed where with multiple incorrect UPI PIN attempts, customer will not be able to make transaction using that UPI App for few hours. However, the Axis Bank RuPay credit card will remain unaffected and stay functional on other UPI Apps, POS, Ecomm and ATM.

8. How can I link my Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card on UPI App if I have changed my mobile number?

If you have changed your mobile number, kindly update the same for Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card too. Post updating, kindly re-register the credit card on the UPI App.

9. How can I make payment to a retail offline merchant using Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card on UPI?

Login to UPI App, scan Merchant UPI or QR code, enter the amount, select Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card account, enter UPI Pin, confirm.

10. How can I make payment to an e-commerce merchant using Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card on UPI?

Payment can be made for e-commerce merchant through the request received from the merchant. Select UPI App as payment mode at merchant website/app, login into UPI App, select Axis Bank Credit Card, and confirm payment using UPI Pin. Once the payment is successful, you will be re-directed back to the merchant page.

11. Can I make payment to any person or other Credit Card using the linked Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card on UPI?

No, only payment to merchant (P2M) will be allowed from the linked Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card.

12. Can I link my Axis Bank Visa/Mastercard Credit Card on UPI?

No. Currently, only active Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card can be linked on UPI.

13. What is the maximum number of Axis Bank RuPay Credit Cards that can be linked on UPI?

There is no restriction of linking Axis Bank RuPay Credit Cards on UPI.

14. What are the number of transactions allowed from linked Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card on UPI?

There is no limit for the number of transactions carried out from linked Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card on UPI.

15. Will I be charged for linking or carrying out any transaction from linked Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card on UPI?

You will not be charged for linking or carrying out any transaction from the linked Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card on UPI.

16. Is there any limit on the amount of transaction that can be carried out from linked Axis Bank RuPay Credit card on UPI?

Transaction limits for RuPay Credit Card on UPI will be as per existing UPI transaction limits. UPI Limit- 1 lakh per day and 2 lakh for some special Insurance MCC codes i.e 5960, 6300 & 6529, however it will be limited to the available credit limit on your card.
RuPay Credit Card on UPI can be used only for merchant payments, barring a few which are restricted as per guidelines given below.

17. What are the restricted merchant categories on which customer won’t be able to make payment using Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card on UPI?

Categories – P2P, P2PM, digital account opening, lending platform, cash withdrawal at merchant, cash withdrawal at ATM, ERUPI, IPO, Foreign Inward Remittances, Mutual Funds and any other categories as restricted by the Axis Bank/RBI.

18. Can I raise charge back or refund on UPI app for linked Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card on UPI?

Yes. Charge back or refund can be raised by connecting with Axis Bank or the UPI App on which the transaction was completed.

19. Can I make my linked Credit Card as default account to receive funds?

Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card cannot be made as a default option to receive funds.

20. If my Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card is renewed, do I need to link it on UPI again?

Yes, in case of new card issuance, you will need to re-register on UPI app with updated Credit Card details.

21. If my mobile device is changed, will I need to register on UPI App again?

Yes, in case there is change in device, you will have to re-register on UPI app with the same SIM. Application installed in previous device will be de-registered.

22. Where can I see transaction history of Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card through UPI?

Payment transactions done using Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card through UPI can be viewed in the monthly credit card statements. The transaction history will also be displayed on UPI App used for making payment.

23. Will I earn EDGE Reward points for UPI spends using Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card?

Yes, the customer will continue earning EDGE Reward points as per existing product offering.

24. Will I get fuel surcharge waiver on eligible fuel stations?

If Fuel surcharge is levied, it will be waived off as per existing terms and conditions of selected Axis Bank RuPay Credit Card. For example, In Indian Oil Axis Bank Credit Card, you will get a fuel surcharge waiver of 1 % for fuel spends made between Rs 200 to Rs 5000. Maximum waiver of Rs 50 is given per statement cycle. GST charged on fuel surcharge will be non-refundable.
