There was a mention about the violence, casualties from both sides (Police & Protestors) but the main focus was on Internet shutdown
No one was really talking about the farm laws or painting their version of the story but what exactly happened after that?

Tell me one such field/industry where the producer/supplier asks for price of their choice irrespective of whether the product is in demand or not. The whole world works on the principle of demand and supply..and here a section says that they will produce what they want and should get the price what they want, it doesn’t matter if more than half of their substandard produce rots in FCI godowns with no takers and no requirement. The water level in Punjab is going down drastically thanks to the excessive cultivation of water thirsty crops like rice, wheat and sugarcane..and the health of the people is being played with by excessive use of urea… When the whole world is becoming environment savvy and upgrading themselves, a section refuses to budge and wants freebies and subsidies at the expense of other tax-payers. This is not acceptable.

The Farmers are not Demanding the Govt for full 100 % buying of their crop…a article i was reading mentioned the effect of govt buying had on the market prices!

According to the report even if the govt purchases 30-40% of the whole produce which the govt itself declares for various crops the prices move to the msp or close to the msp in open market also because the produce then gets short on supply for businesses and hence they offer the msp price or even higher.

The Govt Declares the msp for crops which have a 45% share in agriculture economy means that the right to msp for every crop can change a large no lives!

And offcourse the govt will then sell the produce it procures and the money it fetches!

Govt will have some fiscal deficit in the range of Rs 1-1.5 lakh crore per year…means the govt is giving susidy…but this subsidy will have a larger benefit than the PM KISAAN Yojana which costs the govt Rs 54,370.15 Crore which too is a subsidy btw what can a person get in Rs 6000/year and that too in 3 installments?

Yes the corporates can definately enter the sector but at what cost? There are no jobs for the workers living in cities itself then how come the farmers if they went bankrupt deal?
Why not just allot them space in existing mandi? and create a sense of security among farmers?

Because a Private Complex can provide them the opportunity to weaken the mandi system..and establish a monopoly in the sector!

I bet not a single company will invest a single penny in states other that haryana and punjab…they just want to reduce the msp bill and help the corporates!

Other states will continue to Function with same private exploitive system! T here was simply no ban for private sector earlier also…but no single company has invested in any other state for modernisation!

And Lastly The Wheat and rice cycle is not only limites to just punjab it is also in haryana…so do not name punjab specifically!
