No need for new registration. Coupon of 700 works on older accounts also and its multiple use. But one time use for one account…

I don’t think it’ll work with cable internet.
Yesterday, I ordered one.
How many days Ppperfry generally takes to ship the order.
They have written 7 working days, but do they actually take that much ?
hello dimers…what is the use of router n how to use …pls share some links…

in simple words router is medium that makes a broadband signal coming from modem wireless which can be used on wifi enabled mobiles or PC/laptop. you just put rj45 wire of modem into router and your home becomes wifi zone.
router+modem needs only broadband line and no modem required. ideally bsnl/airtel/reliance telephone cable is plugged into router+modem and your home becomes wifi zone.
now router costs somewhere around thousand bucks for simple 3 room flat if you own a modem. a router+modem starts from 1500. speed and range increase with increase in price.
bought one..but 7 working days shipping is a huge time..
Stats says will ship only by 1st Feb.
I would say, buy this TP Link router instead of the Asus: http://cgi.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&it… . This has better reviews for example at flipkart where you can also see that some people complain about the asus dropping connection regularly. Also TP Link is highly rated elsewhere as well for the connection strength and range. see this video:
where he states with facts that it performs better than even many other router at 6 to 7 times the price. Also see this page : http://www.thinkdigit.com/Parts-and-Peripherals… . Digit Zero1 Awards 2012 went to TP Link routers. The award winning TP Link router is available for around ₹1000, but writing this in a modem+router thread, i say buy this: http://cgi.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&it… for ₹1,621 with coupon from eBay – cheapest.Buy from a local store if you’re from Bangalore. I got it for 1200 from my neighbourhood shop.
You can get it from flipkart too for 1255.

Bro what you are saying is just a router.
This thread is for modem+router. Plz dont confuse buyers!!..
First-hand review: Easy to set up and use, good range (can connect from the road next to my house – the router in in 3rd floor of the building), but gets heated and connection drops – needs to be turned off often. good enough for 1200 bucks but not worth paying 1600.
But before you purchase something – what is stopping you from visiting mysmartprice or any such site and finding the actual cost?

Yes. Sorry i forgot about the shipping. Yes, it is ₹75 for me too. So ₹1800 and then with 7% coupon it is ₹1674. I’m buying it tonight. Hmm.. maybe try cancelling your order. And a good thing is that pepperfry might not be so fast for shipping. So, you have a chance. Try contacting them.
I would be happy to cancel the order.
Look at here, what dimers are saying -
http://www.desidime.com/forums/hot-deals-online…
I doubt whether they would actually return my money. If they do, I would go for the 1674 one.
I got my order cancelled.
Pepperfry promised me to refund the money to my credit card.

good..Are you ordering from ebay?
My friend had ordered the same Asus model from Flipkart, it gets heated but he doesn’t face any frequent disconnection issues & he mentioned the range is good . TP-LINK routers mentioned in some posts also offer good value for money.
TP-link 8151n with 1 LAN port – http://www.ebay.in/itm/TP-LINK-Adsl2-modem-rout…
TP-link 8951nd with 4 LAN ports – http://www.ebay.in/itm/TP-Link-TD-W8951ND-150Mb…
